The inspiration for Cards for Good Causes came in 1959 when a group of charities met to discuss the co-ordination of publicity for selling their cards at Christmas to raise much-needed funds. In fact, some of those founder charities still work with us today.

We help children get vaccinated against potentially deadly diseases. We help them get lifesaving treatment when they’re ill. And we help them get the food they need to survive, grow up healthy and have the chance to fulfil their potential. We focus on the first five years – the time they’re most vulnerable. Now we’re extending and growing our work to further increase our impact and save many more lives. Specifically, over the next three years, we will:

  • Stop 3 million children dying from avoidable illnesses like pneumonia, diarrhoea and malaria.
  • Train 50,000 health workers - nurses, and midwives and community workers - so that many more children can be vaccinated, diagnosed quickly and treated effectively.
