  1. We're Back! Christmas pop-up Shops are back Supporting Charities this Christmas

Cards for Good Causes, the charity Christmas card retailer, is opening its doors again in England on Wednesday 2nd December as the lockdown comes to an end. It has been a very tough time for the not-for-profit organisation with November being a peak trading month for raising vital funds for charity. They hope the local community will support them during December and they can recoup some of the lost £1million revenue that would have benefited so many charities this year.

The not-for-profit organisation has over 150 temporary shops around the UK, selling a huge selection of charity Christmas cards and seasonal gifts with 100% of its proceeds given back to charity - that’s at least 70p in the £1 which is significantly higher than most other retailers. In the last 10 years alone, Cards for Good Causes has raised an incredible £40million for charity. It represents more

  2. Cards for Good Causes tries to Bring a Smile to Local Care Home Residents

Cards for Good Causes pop-up shops hope to bring a smile to local care home residents thanks to the local community. During lockdown in England a number of its not-for-profit shops started a new Click and Collect service to ensure that they could continue to raise vital funds for charity with the sale of their Charity Christmas cards and gifts. And now, customers can donate an Advent Smile so that an advent calendar can be donated to a local care home and bring a smile to residents every day in December in the lead up to Christmas.

Customers can either go to https://www.cardsforcharity.co.uk/click-and-collect.html or call 01264 362 333 to donate an Advent Smile. The shop team volunteers will then ensure that local care home residents receive their advent calendars

  4. ARE GREETINGS CARDS ESSENTIAL THIS CHRISTMAS?

After the government’s England lockdown announcement, Cards for Good Causes, the UK’s largest charity Christmas card retailer, was forced to close its shop doors in England. In the past few weeks, they had opened over 150 Christmas pop-up shops throughout the UK to raise vital funds for charity and help people keep in touch with those they love in the most difficult of times this Christmas.

There were many predictions made early on in the season that Christmas Card sales could see a resurgence this year. As early as August, Google data showed demand in 2020 was already well above 2019 (4.61k in August 2020 versus 3.65k in August 2019). It was very evident that showing someone that you care and were thinking of them had become essential as people were locked in their homes and were not able to meet in person. With Christmas coming to the forefront this became ever more essential as people realised that they wouldn’t be able to come together in the

  6. CHRISTMAS POP-UP SHOPS MAY CLOSE IN ENGLAND BUT WE ARE STILL OPEN AND SUPPORTING CHARITIES THIS CHRISTMAS!

After the government’s announcement on Saturday 31st October, Cards for Good Causes, the UK’s largest charity Christmas card retailer, will sadly be forced to close its shop doors in England this Thursday. In the past few weeks, we have opened over 150 Christmas pop-up shops throughout the UK to get the festive season under way and raise vital funds for charity.

The Cards for Good Causes team have worked incredibly hard over the last month including many thousands of volunteers who have given up their valuable time to get shops ready. November is our key month and this year we were on target to raise a staggering £1 million in November. To lose this is devastating for the whole Cards for Good Causes team and the hundreds of charities that we support.

We are a not-for-profit organisation and have a huge selection of charity Christmas cards and seasonal gifts with 100% of our proceeds going back t
