The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. With more and more people enjoying the beach and sea we’ve never been busier, rescuing an average of 24 people every day – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It costs over £400,000 a day to run this essential service, which continues to rely on voluntary contributions and legacies for its income.
