    We are currently recruiting for a Charity Retail Regional Coordinator to cover the Dorset/Somerset/Devon area.

    Position: Charity Retail Regional Coordinator [Full Time 37.5 hours per week over 5 days – flexible working]

    Location: Home based

    Basis: 3 Months Fixed Term (October – December)

    Salary: £24,600 FTE

    Reporting to: Sales Manager

  2. Shop Managers Wanted! Join Santa's little helpers this Christmas

    We're looking for enthusiastic and friendly people to help run our pop-up shops during the Christmas season!

    Our shops are buzzing with Christmas spirit, do-gooding and tills ringing so if you're someone who thrives in a busy, adaptive and social setting this could be a fantastic opportunity for you. All abilities are welcome as everyone has training and lots of support.

  3. Christmas is Coming Early this Year

    Christmas is coming early this year as more people are looking for charity Christmas cards online in August and September than ever before.

    Cards for Good Causes, the Charity Christmas Card Retailer, has seen an increase in traffic to its website in August 2021 with a 20% increase in visitors looking for Charity Christmas Cards. The first signs in September are even stronger with a 28% increase in visitors in just the first week.

    Last year, Cards for Good Causes saw a 300% increase in online sales over the whole year due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the November lockdown in England which saw online sales soar as their 150 pop-up shops in England were forced to close during their peak trading season.

    Cards for Good Causes, the charity card and gift retailer, has launched personalised cards on its website to help raise vital funds for charity throughout the year. The personalised cards range has over 2,500 designs and includes cards for every occasion including Birthdays, Weddings, New Home and New Baby. The designs also include cards from leading brands such as Manchester Utd, Minions, Aunty Acid and many more. This new launch increases the product range for Cards for Good Causes extensively and appeals to those customers who want to send a card whilst also giving to charity at the same time.

    Around the globe many countries are celebrating the official Alternative Christmas Day on Sunday 25th July this year. It is an opportunity to see loved ones and have Christmas-themed activities, seasonal music and get in the Christmas spirit that was lacking for so many in December 2020.

  9. Cards for Good Causes makes plea to Local Community

    With the Christmas season now over, Cards for Good Causes has closed its pop-up shops around the UK. It was an incredibly difficult and challenging time for the not-for-profit organisation with 50% of key trading wiped out by a lockdown in England during November 2020. With such an impact on sales, the Charity card and gift retailer has launched a January Sale online to help raise further funds for charity including Cancer Research UK, RNLI, Alzheimer’s Society and many more. 

    The sale includes both Charity Christmas cards and many beautiful gifts under £10 with a number of charities taking part in the sale. Charity Christmas card designs are from the 2020 collection so this is a last opportunity to buy some of the special designs from the year and support charity.

    With lockdown coming to an end, we asked Jeremy Lune, CEO at Cards for Good Causes, how the last four weeks have been and how he thinks the next four weeks will be in the lead up to Christmas.

    It has been a really challenging year for everyone. How did the lockdown affect Cards for Good Causes?

    Cards For Good Causes has a 60 year history of selling Christmas cards on behalf of hundreds of charities from the very smallest local organisations to the larger national charities, all of whom rely on us to generate income to provide life-changing services. As it has for all retailers, this year has presented a huge challenge, but none more so than the recent Lockdown that forced the closure of all non-essential retailers across England.
