Cherry Whiteside - CEO

Having worked in charity retail for over 14 years I joined Cards for Good Causes in 2022 as our Head of Retail and I’m now proud to be leading the team as our CEO.

I have spent several years overseeing various charity retail and volunteering operations and one of the highlights for me last year was visiting as many of our shops as possible to meet all our wonderful staff, volunteers and customers, something that I really look forward to repeating this year.

In my spare time I really enjoy spending time with my family, which often includes going on very long walks with our dog Tango. My daughter is also obsessed about all things relating to horses, so I’m regularly found at the stables with her come rain or shine watching the ponies. Please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected] with any CFGC related queries.

Becky - Operations

I’ve got 20 years' experience in supply chain due diligence, ethical practices and client service, having worked with major corporations and charities delivering merchandise and fundraising materials for national and global events. I manage our licensed charity partnerships and operations for the organisation.

Outside of greetings cards and ethically produced gifts, I am also very passionate about spending time with my wonderful family and friends. Apart from spending most weekends around Surrey at football matches, I enjoy cooking (with my little master chef!), entertaining and a good spin class! You can contact me at [email protected]

Carlie - Finance and HR

I joined Cards for Good Causes in March 2020 (a memorable date). I control and manage all aspects of finance and HR for the Charity and the organisation and have a background in corporate finance with a retail focus.

For specific invoicing or finance based questions, please do not hesitate to contact me on [email protected].

This organisation has allowed me to combine a few of my passions including charity work, retail and, of course, numbers. Aside from this, I love having adventures with my fantastic family and our dog. The most special voluntary work I undertook was to provide finance services to a small museum in rural Bostwana, again combining charitable work, retail, numbers and the best of all....Africa!

Alicia - Buying and Marketing

I have worked with Cards for Good Causes as Buying Manager since 2019, working as a gift and card buyer for 11 years before that. You could definitely say that I am passionate about cards - I have drawers full of them! I can’t resist buying more whenever I see an unusual design in a gift shop or online.

In my spare time I enjoy gardening and you may see my love of nature reflected in some of the cards we sell, as well as my love of cats.

I also manage the website and, more recently, the charity’s marketing so the best place to reach me is: [email protected]

Chris – Retail - Partnerships

I joined Cards for Good Causes in Spring 2018 as an Area Manager, having managed a CFGC pop-up shop in 2017. I can be contacted for any host related queries including new potential site opportunities on [email protected].

Having been in the charity retail sector for nearly ten years, the role is varied, and I enjoy discussing and planning the season with Hosts around the country; all of us wanting to achieve the best for the charities we represent.

In my spare time, I enjoy the countryside and fighting what sometimes feels like a losing battle in the garden!
